Italian panettone bread is a delicious sweet, light dough, part-way between a sweet bread and a cake, usually eaten in Italy at Christmas and New Year. It’s the Italian version of Christmas cake.

The true Italian version has a very distinctive shape : a tall, cylindrical tower. The panettone bread pan is easily available in Italy, but outside the country is quite difficult to get hold of.

This is one of the few available and has the advantage of being made of flexible silicone. Because this product conducts heat evenly and stops cooking as soon as it is removed from the oven, there is no danger of the burned fruit which was a feature of many a panettone bread in the past!

So, if you have a favourite panettone recipe and would like it to have that distinctive Italian look, this is exactly what you need.
