This amazing statue is a 50” model of Joseph designed to be part of an outdoor yard nativity scene.
Italian Christmas decorations don't exist to the same extent they do in other countries, largely because in Italy Christmas is still seen as a religious festival.
But nativities, both indoor and outdoor, are very much a part of an Italian Christmas and it's not unusual to see life-sized cribs in private houses as well as in the grounds of churches and the centre of villages.
